Momentum Results was formed by two highly experienced leadership consultants Mike Parkes and Sue Kluss.
Their credibility rests with their ability to take on and fulfil a variety of challenges however, they will only agree to undertake work where they know they can add value.

The Momentum Team
Mike Parkes
Mike has worked with Managers, Executives and Directors for over 30 years, assisting them with a variety of management, leadership and change challenges. He is the author of "Business Facilitation, an essential leadership skill for employee engagement" which has sold over 1,000 copies and of numerous articles.
Mike's latest book "Leading Remotely, achieving success in a globally connected world" published by Bloomsbury Business launches on June 10th 2021.
A keynote speaker at conferences in global locations, including Australia, US, South Africa, Middle East, Indonesia and Europe, Mike also leads " The Retail Masters Forum" at the Said Business School, Oxford
In 2001 Mike was one of the founding Directors of Momentum Development and subsequently, in 2008, set up Momentum Results LLP. Previously Mike was Chief Executive of the Development Associates Group Ltd; a subsidiary of the global accountancy firm Deloitte. He joined as a Senior Consultant in 1987, progressing to Managing Consultant and then Chief Executive in 1997.
Prior to his consultancy career Mike held HR and Management Development positions with The Prudential, Luton BC/Airport and Tesco.
Sue Kluss
Sue has worked in consultancy since 1990 and is well known for her facilitation and development work with Directors, Executives and Managers at all levels. She works across a variety of business sectors and has particular expertise within the retail and service environments, earning an enviable reputation for her expertise in behavioral and leadership development and for the integrity that she brings to her work.
Sue builds strong partner relationships with clients, getting close to their business, enabling her to ensure that development responses are specifically focussed on the needs of individuals and teams and drive real perfomance improvement and ROI for the business overall.
Sue first worked with Mike Parkes when she was a Consultant, Senior Consultant and latterly Business Manager, in the Development Associates Group Ltd; a subsidiary of the global accountancy firm Deloitte. In 2001 she was a founding Director of Momentum Development and subsequently, in 2008, Mike and Sue set up Momentum Results LLP. Sue's career started with Marks and Spencer where she worked in Commercial and HR Management and Management Development
Derek Linden
Derek has spent the last thirty five years managing, leading and developing teams, managers and executives. He has worked on leadership and organisational development with some of the largest businesses around. As a former captain of the Scottish Hockey team he continues to develop leaders, on and off the field of play for the Scottish Hockey Association. He also talks annually at the Association of Project Managers Conference; covering areas such as “Negotiating with and Leading difficult people,” and “Leading Stakeholders when you have no Power.” He has been published many times and was the “Agony Uncle” for the forces magazine ‘Pathfinder’ wherein he guided ex-services employees into management and leadership roles in civilian life.
He has been working with Momentum Results for over fifteen years. Prior to that he spent 15 years in Retail Operations with B&Q before setting up their University. Derek is known for his practical approach to development, seeing it from the user’s perspective. He has worked in the USA, across Europe and the Far-East
Janine Owen
Janine has led teams within the Retail sector for over 20 years, from Store Management to Specialist and Senior Leadership roles. She qualified as a Leadership Coach at Lancaster University 2008. Her Leadership roles within B&Q included, Store Management where she developed key leadership skills of how to drive results through people. She also progressed to Divisional Leadership Roles where she specialised in a number of areas such as Showroom sales, leading company project rolesand HR and her last role was the National role of Director of HR for Retail.
In 2012 Janine became a Coach and since then has developed individuals and teams of Executives, Directors and Managers in business sectors ranging from Manufacturing, Finance and Retail, through to Marketing, and Wholesale. She takes great pride in supporting teams and individuals to learn and grow and realise their true potential.
Janine works both in UK and internationally and has developed teams in America, Japan, Europe and Asia to name a few. Her work involves supporting Leaders at all levels, from Graduates to Senior Executives and Board Directors, assisting them with Individual, Team and Change challenges.
Dr Chris Hutton
David Campbell
Sadly in August 2013 our great friend and colleague Chris Hutton passed away. Chris will always be fondly remembered by all he worked with for his unique style, tremendous knowledge and humour.
David is a very experienced consultant in the areas of; leadership development; interpersonal skills development; 1 to 1 coaching, with particular interest in individual's new to leadership roles, and the development of engagement processes and practices to which he brings a robust cross-discipline approach . He has led operating units and senior teams in Marks and Spencer, on a single and multi site basis, and brings this extensive leadership and commercial expertise to his assignments.
David is a challenging and supportive facilitator of groups and individuals. He has an intuitive and empathetic approach with strong counselling skills and experience
